A Commitment to Family Centered Care

The birth of the baby also represents the birth of the family. During this tender time, the roles and responsibilities of each individual member change. The journey through this transformation looks and feels different for everyone. There is no one right way.

Family centered maternity care consists of an attitude and commitment to the sacred and magical life event that is birth. It recognizes and appreciates that each individual birthing person be treated with autonomy and respect as they make decisions about their care. Family centered care also requires that education is provided which emphasizes compassion and choice.

I believe in the freedom to make decisions based on knowledge, evidenced based options and alternatives, and intuition. With the goal of improved outcomes for all families, my priority is to support you on your journey, your way.
